Unpack the contents, set aside the Ceramic Pre-Filter, Multi-Stage Filter and Mineral Stones. Rinse all other components with warm water only (do not use any detergent).
Now that you’ve unpacked, rinsed and dried all the components, it’s time to prepare your Filters.
Preparing the Filters and Mineral Stones
Lay the Mineral Stones in a bowl and cover with water. Leave for 48 hours.
Fill a jug or pot with cold water and submerge the Multi-Stage Filter for as long as 2 hours until all the air bubbles have been released. Then wrap in a towel for a good grip and give it a vigorous shake like you’re Tom Cruise in Cocktail, then set aside.
Submerge the Ceramic Pre-Filter for 5 minutes. With a non-scratch scouring pad, lightly scrub the Ceramic Pre-Filter and rinse under water.
Now you can begin building the Alps Water Filter System from the bottom up.

Building the Alps Water Filter System
The Magnetic Nut should be unscrewed from the Tap. Place one silicone washer over the tap thread and insert into the Bottom Tank. From the inside of the Bottom Tank place the other silicon washer over the tap thread. Now you can thread on the Magnetic Nut.
DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN – the bottom tank may crack. To test if you have secured the Magnetic Nut sufficiently, place a small amount of water in the Bottom Tank and tilt towards the Tap to observe any leaks.
Place the Bottom Tank on the System Base and connect the Plastic Bottom Tank Adapter (not applicable with the Glass Bottom Tank).
From the smaller side, screw the Multi-Stage Filter Connector onto the Multi-Stage Filter. Place this into the Plastic Bottom Tank Adapter (or directly into the Glass Bottom Tank).
Remove the wing-nut from the Ceramic Pre-Filter and leave the silicone washer. Lay the Top Tank on its side and place the Ceramic Pre-Filter through it with one hand and attach the wing-nut with other hand. Again, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN – the top tank may crack. To test if you have secured the wing nut sufficiently, place a small amount of water in the Top Tank and observe for any leaks.
Place the Top Tank onto the Plastic Bottom Tank Adapter (or directly into the Glass Bottom Tank).
You can now fill the Top Tank with water and enjoy clean, alkaline and energised water thanks the Alps Water Filter System.
